After 30 years as the Halton Association of Co-ordinators of Volunteer Services (HACVS), the membership of the HACVS voted at the 2007 AGM on Feb. 22, 2008, to change the name from HACVS to Halton Association of Volunteer Administrators (Halton AVA).
Many other similar associations have adopted the naming convention of taking names that reflect the geographical area they serve with the addition of the AVA tag.
We're hoping that our new Web site will be easier to find by current and potential association members in Milton, Halton Hills, Oakville and Burlington. Thanks to Heather Thompson of Transitions for Youth for arranging for our new bold logo.
